09/15/07 - The Carpenters Newville Home To be Remodeled, Perhaps Demolished?!

Online forums have been talking about the recent changes being made at the Carpenters former home in Downey, California. The current owners of the Newville home have decided to divide the house into two seprate homes. Recently, an estate sale took place to sell some remaining Carpenters-related items that used to reside in the house, and now the process to remodel and/or demolish the entire home(s) may be underway. Please express your concerns and objections about the Newville home being demolished, by writing to members of the Downey City Council and the Downey Patriot Newspaper.
