Merry Christmas, Darling / Mr. Guder - single:

Merry Christmas, Darling was written by Frank Pooler at the age of 19, with some minor changes by Richard Carpenter. In the "This is Your Life" TV show Frank Pooler said that listening to the Carpenters recording of his song was one of the most moving experiences of his life. This is one of my favorite Carpenters christmas songs. The lyrics are simple but very beautiful and poetic.
