The
Carpenters Legacy Lives On...

Superstar
Superstar
/ Bless The Beasts And The Children - single:
The
song "Superstar" was originally popularized by Rita
Coolidge on Joe Crocker's album "Mad Dogs & Englishmen".
The Carpenters version of "Superstar" is a foreboding
yet beautiful rendition. I seem to remember hearing that Richard
Carpenter originally thought the subject matter of the song "Superstar"
was a bit too mature for Karen to sing, however Richard did realize
that the theme of "Superstar" would be great with the
sound of Karen's voice.
