Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft / Can't Smile Without You - single:

"Calling Occupants" is a totally different kind of Carpenters song to put it mildly, but even though it's a bit strange for a Carpenters song, I still like it. It's a song that could even make Darth Vader proud because it's so "out there".

The Carpenters actually did two different music videos for this song. One is on the Carpenters "Gold" DVD, which my brother and I refer to as the "Wilma Deering" version, and the other video is on the "Interpretations" DVD. The latter version was taken from the Carpenters Televison special "Space Encounters" in 1978.
