One interesting thing that I noticed on the cover for this Single is the advertisement for the Carpenters Christmas TV Special, which was to be aired on "Friday, December 9th, 9-10 P.M. on ABC".

The song Merry Christmas Darling was released as a single itself in 1970 and was on the Carpenters Close To You album in 1970 as well.
